ISIS terrorists tried to down Russian military transport helicopter Mi-8 in Aleppo province.
That was reported by terror group’s media wing.
On the photo oublished by the terrorirsts they deliver fire from anti-aircraft mounts when helicopter passes by.
Photo caption says that terrorists failed to down Russian helicopter.
A military source commented the published footage for «Russian Spring» and told that Russian Air Forces had strict order to fly at an elevation non-reachable for anti-aircraft mounts.
Exception is made for assault helicopters covering ground operations. These photos are made at maximum zoom as it flew high enough.
By all accounts this happened on the border between Raqqa and Aleppo provinces as ISIS* had been dislodged from all Aleppo towns and villages over the last month. They keep controlling small part of the territory near Raqqa.
