Condition of child, wounded in Donetsk shelling remains grave
The Condition of a child, wounded in the Ukrainian shelling of Donetsk outskirts on June 4th remains grave, reports the chief doctor of the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital, Sergey Markov.
“The boy’s condition is grave but stable. He went through the surgery and now he is in the intensive therapy department,” said Markov.
He believes that now it is too soon to make any prognoses concerning the patient’s rehabilitation period, for the traumas are too serious.
“The main stage was passed now he needs some time to recover,” underlined the doctor.
It should be reminded that on the evening of June 4, Ukrainian gunmen conducted mortar fire on the territory of Petrovsky district of Donetsk. As a result, a civilian woman died, her eight-year-old son was severely wounded. As it turned out later, the child received a mine and blast injury, a fragmentation wound of the abdominal cavity, thigh and finger. Now he is under the doctors’ careful supervision.
